Dr Hongtao has been responsible for CNOOC’s LNG procurement and trading efforts since 2008, and is one of the pioneers of spot LNG trading as well as short- and mid-term LNG procurement in China. During his over ten-year career in CNOOC, Hongtao has led approximately 10 mtpa of spot and term LNG procurements, and a series of LNG package transactions along the upstream and midstream.
Dr Hongtao has a PhD in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Han Jingkuan, the Vice President of PetroChina Planning & Engineering Institute. He is a professorial senior engineer, and enjoys the government special allowance. He graduated from Daqing Petroleum Institute in 1987, and was awarded the Master’s Degree of oil and gas storage & transport from China University of Petroleum in 2002, the EMBA Degree from Bauer Business School at University of Houston in 2007 as well. He is a well-known expert with deep attainments in the fields of oil and gas strategy planning, market and price research.
Mr Ma Shenyuan graduated from China Petroleum University and Research Institute of Petroleum Processing with Bachelors and Masters’ degrees in Petroleum Processing and Petro-Chemistry. He worked for CNPC and Sinopec for the first few years of his career as an engineer in the Oilfield and Research Institute (RIPP). He joined the State Planning Commission in 1990 and the State Administration of Petroleum and Chemical Industries in 1998 as Division Director working on oil and gas policy-making, planning, projects/investment and industry management. Mr Ma Shenyuan joined Shell China in 2000 as BDM, GM Business Development and GM for LNG and NBD for Greater China. He was responsible for gas and LNG related marketing, mid-stream and downstream business development, including 3 years in Australia supporting the Gorgon project commercial and LNG marketing. He then joined ENN Group in 2014 as VP responsible for ENN LNG Trading and International Business Development.

Yangguang is a Professorate Senior Engineer. He started work in 1990, and has been working in Shenzhen Gas Corporation Ltd since 2000. He successfully held the posts of Deputy Manager of Business Management Department, Director of Development Department, General Manager of Supply and Distribution Branch, General Manager of Construction Branch, Secretary of Board Directors and General Manager of Board Secretariat, and has served as Vice-President of the company since March 2015.
Dr. Xingshan ZHU is Senior Director and Deputy Chief Economist of Planning Dept., CNPC. He is also Secretary General of Petroleum Economics Committee of Chinese Petroleum Society, and Deputy Director of the editorial board of the International Petroleum Economics. He was a professor of Southwest Petroleum University, China. He served as Deputy Director of the Centre for Energy Economy and Development Strategy, Energy Rearch Institute, and Assistant Director General of Energy Conservation Information Dissemination Center, NDRC. He took a temporary post as Assistant Mayor of Yaan, Sichuan in 2003. He successively engaged in geological research, energy strategy research and strategic planning work of oil and gas, including participating in the national energy strategy research, organizing CNPC’s "11th five-year plan", "12th five-year" and "13th five-year " plan formulation. He has a great experience in the field of natural gas.

Currently Dr. Li acting as executive director of National Energy R&D Center for LNG Technology; project manager of major science and technology of CNPC nature gas liquefaction key technology. Dr. Li has long been engaged in international engineering market development, international project management and the management of technology development. Ten more pieces of academic papers publisher in China and overseas. He has won many awards and eight national patents.
Mr Zhang Mi serves as the Executive Director, President and Chairman of the board of Honghua Group Ltd.
Mr Zhang founded Honghua in 1997 as an 11-person workshop. Within 10 years, he led the company to become the biggest exporter of drilling rigs in China and one of the largest land drilling rig manufacturers in the world.
Mr Zhang is an expert in oil rigs, marine engineering and petroleum exploration equipment development. Today, Mr. Zhang is leading his team to promote Honghua’s offshore manufacturing plant through the “Honghai Crane”, a shale gas integrated solution and smart rig which will lead to industry wide technological revolutions.
Mr Zhang has received honors from the State Council of China as a government certified Special Technical Expert. He also serves as a part-time professor at China University of Petroleum, Southwest Petroleum University and Jilin University.
Professor Gu Anzhong is a professor and PhD supervisor at the Mechanical and Power Engineering College at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He graduated from the Marine Power Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1962 and chose to continue working there, being made Associate Professor in 1986 and Professor in 1993 and in the following year, he was approved as a PhD supervisor. Between 1982 and 1985 he studied in both IIT (Illinois Institute of Technology) and GTI (Gas Technology Institute) in the US as a visiting scholar. His previous positions in Shanghai Jiao Tong University include Deputy Director of the Refrigeration & Cryogenic Engineering Institute, Deputy Director of the Engineering Thermal Physics Institute and Dean of the Refrigeration & Cryogenic Engineering Department. He has also been a member of the Cryogenic Gas Liquefaction Separation Committee of IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration), a member of the China Refrigeration Institute Council and the Cryogenic Professional Committee, an Executive Director of the Shanghai Refrigeration Institute and the Director of the Cryogenic Professional Committee in Shanghai. He now serves as Director of the LNG & Clean Energy Technology Development Centre of at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, President of the Shanghai LNG New Energy Technology Co. Ltd and General Secretary of the China LNG Association. In his 45 years of teaching and researching in refrigeration & cryogenic engineering, Professor Gu Anzhong has tutored 20 Doctors, 24 Masters and 3 Post Doctors.
Dr Andrew Walker is BGs VP of Global LNG; Dr Walker joined BG in 1991, initially working in their LNG Fundamentals Group. Since then he has been located in the UK, Singapore, Egypt and the USA and has acted as an analyst, a gas negotiator and commercial manager before moving into his present role in strategy. He has largely focused on LNG during his time in BG and has worked directly on the formation and delivery of numerous LNG projects, including Atlantic LNG in Trinidad and Tobago, Egyptian LNG, Tangguh LNG in Indonesia and Dragon LNG in the UK. Dr Walker has a Doctorate in Geology from Imperial College, University of London.
Paul is a graduate of University College Dublin and a Chartered Civil Engineer and Environmental Engineer. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a FEANI Professional Engineer. He has 25 years’ experience in the LNG Industry. His career has covered construction and engineering in Europe, the Middle East, India, Korea, China, SE Asia and the Americas. He headed up the FEED group in BG from 1988 to 1998 and was instrumental in developing their first grassroots Liquefaction project, Atlantic LNG in Trinidad.
From 1998 to 2009 he served as the Development Director within Whessoe LNG with direct responsibility for Product and Project Development. He managed the development and delivery of LNG Import facilities in India, Europe and the Americas. Currently he is Senior Vice President of Global LNG and FLNG for Worley Parsons, responsible for the initiation, development and securing of all projects. He is supported by Global centres of LNG and FLNG excellence in London, Houston, Perth, Brisbane, Beijing, Mumbai, Singapore and Vancouver.
