Mr. Masato Sasaki has served as Director for Oil and Gas of the Agency for Natural Gas Resources and Energy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and is in charge of policies for upstream development and procurement of oil and gas for Japan. He has a long carrier in energy affairs at METI as Director of Nuclear Facilities Development and Public Relations Division, and as Director of Energy Strategy Office.
He obtained his LLB from the University of Tokyo (1995).
Dr Hongtao has been responsible for CNOOC’s LNG procurement and trading efforts since 2008, and is one of the pioneers of spot LNG trading as well as short- and mid-term LNG procurement in China. During his over ten-year career in CNOOC, Hongtao has led approximately 10 mtpa of spot and term LNG procurements, and a series of LNG package transactions along the upstream and midstream.
Dr Hongtao has a PhD in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Mabel Leung is currently located in Beijing and has responsibility for business development of ExxonMobil’s LNG activities in China.
Mabel joined Mobil Corporation (now ExxonMobil Corporation) in 1987 and has held various downstream executive positions with a primary focus on Global Strategic Planning and Retail Fuels Marketing for Asia Pacific. She has taken on various international assignments in both Singapore and the United States, ExxonMobil’s regional headquarters and global headquarters respectively. Apr 2016, Mabel joined the Gas & Power Marketing organization of ExxonMobil and relocated to Beijing after spending a few months in Houston, Texas.
Mabel holds a Masters in Information Technology from the City University of Hong Kong and a Postgraduate Diploma in E-commerce from Hong Kong University and is married with two children.
Dr. Xingshan Zhu is Senior Director and Deputy Chief Economist of Planning Dept., CNPC. He is also Secretary General of Petroleum Economics Committee of Chinese Petroleum Societyl, and Deputy Director of the editorial board of the International Petroleum Economics. He was a professor of Southwest Petroleum University, China.He served as Deputy Director of the Center for Energy Economy and Development Strategy, Energy Rearch Institute, and Assistant Director General of Energy Conservation Information Dissemination Center, NDRC.He successively engaged in geological research, energy strategy research and strategic planning work of oil and gas, including participating the national energy strategy research, organizing CNPC’s "11th five-year plan", "12th five-year" and "13th five-year " plan formulation.He has a deep research and experience in the field of natural gas.

Tom Earl is the Chief Commercial Officer of VG LNG Marketing, LLC. Tom previously served as Vice President at the international oil company Total, focusing on the development of its global LNG business.
After graduating from City University in London with a degree in Engineering, Tom joined Total’s newly formed gas marketing and trading team in 1998. After various responsibilities within the trading division of the newly combined Total, Elf and Petrofina operations, he managed the natural gas option desk and gas trading desk. Tom successfully led significant commercial negotiations on long-term gas and LNG contracts in countries such as Russia, Norway and Qatar.
In 2006, Tom was appointed Head of Electricity Trading at Total where he led a significant expansion into newly opened power markets across Europe. In 2011, Tom moved to Houston, where he was appointed as head of Total’s North America commodity trading business, including its LNG, gas, power, coal, petcoke and LPG operations. Tom also represented Total in its US LNG liquefaction transactions from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Tom was appointed Vice President of Development for Total’s global LNG activities. Tom led Total’s most recent and highly regarded global expansion into new LNG markets. This work has included innovative new LNG terminal projects and new downstream asset transactions across the world.

Mineko Hida leads DGI Japan’s (Diamond Gas International – Mitsubishi Corporation’s LNG marketing arm) LNG marketing team into Asia (China and Korea). Mineko has worked at Mitsubishi Corporation and in LNG business for more than 20 years, with previous assignments in Houston (development of Cameron LNG project), London (Atlantic LNG Trading) and Kuala Lumpur (seconded to Malaysia LNG, a joint venture with Petronas) in mainly project development, commercial/marketing, joint venture governance and trading activities.

Najla Jamoussi is currently Director of Global Fundamentals at Cheniere Energy. Najla began her career with the company over 13 years ago in Strategic Planning and since then assumed various analytical and managerial positions dealing with energy markets. Her contributions included roles in Financial and Fundamental Analysis, Corporate Research and Corporate Strategy. Najla earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.
Eric Wang, born in 1964, is the Chairman of H. Sterling Group and the Executive Director of Poly-GCL Pan-Asia International Energy (Shandong) Co., Ltd. Eric was the Vice President of China Poly Group, President of Poly International Holdings, Chairman of Poly Technologies Inc., Chairman of China-Africa Development and Investment Co., and Chairman of Poly Petroleum Co., Ltd.
As a senior management, Eric has directed large-scale engineering and power projects in many countries around the world. He has also established a Global Energy Investment Fund, with the participation of Chinese sovereign investment funds and large international financial institutions with the goal of investing in energy and power infrastructure in emerging markets.
Eric studied at Nanjing Foreign Languages College and Nanjing Institute of International Studies, obtaining both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Maggie Jia joined Cheniere Singapore in March of 2015 and has recently moved to Beijing in leading Cheniere’s marketing efforts for the Chinese market. Maggie has over 13 years of experience in LNG trading and marketing based between London, Singapore and most recently, Beijing. She started her LNG career with Mitsui London in June of 2004 as an LNG trader/business development manager to develop trade between Atlantic, Pacific basin and downstream European market opportunities. Maggie has been involved in the China LNG business since 2007 when she successfully executed six spot deals with CNOOC in a single year. In September of 2010, Maggie joined Morgan Stanley’s London LNG trading desk and was one of the pioneer traders in LNG the industry. She was later relocated to Singapore to help the investment bank in expanding the LNG trading business in the Asia Pacific region. In September 2013, due to the regulation change, Maggie Jia and her team of 4 decided to move to one of the largest commodity trading firms - Glencore to build the LNG desk. The Chief Representative role in Cheniere Beijing is a new challenge for her, which also provides her an opportunity to play an active role in the fast-growing LNG trade between the US and China. Maggie Jia graduated from Dalian foreign Language institute and received a master’s degree in International Business from the University of London, Birkbeck.
Bernard Samuels is based in Beijing where he leads Shell Energy China, part of Shell’s global gas and LNG trading organisation. Bernard has worked in Shell’s Asia-Pacific gas and LNG business for more than 25 years, with previous assignments in Russia (Sakhalin Energy), Singapore, Australia (Woodside) and Japan, in a variety of commercial roles in LNG Marketing, Acquisitions & Divestments, Joint Venture Governance and New Business Development.

CHEN Rui is Director of natural gas department of CNPC Economics & Technology Research Institute. Mr. Chen is the key contributor to several national and CNPC level projects, including China's Oil and Gas Sustainable Development Strategy, International Oil Market Trend After Financial Crisis, International Energy Outlook, etc. Mr. Chen is the author of more than 50 papers published in many reputable journals including International Petroleum Economics, China Petrifaction, etc. Mr. Chen is also regularly invited for attending international oil price symposiums held by NDRC and NEA, frequently consulted by different national ministries and CNPC departments on oil market issue, and receives many exclusive interviews by Xinhua News Agency, International Business Daily, China Petrochemical News, etc.
Adnan Ezzarhouni has contributed to the development of GTT since 2001 and currently serves as General Manager of GTT China.
Before assuming this position, he occupied various posts in GTT, including Designer, Project Engineer, Project Leader and Business Development Manager, in the Technical, Innovation and Commercial Divisions.
He spent 4 years as Project Leader in charge of the development of the new generation of Membrane Full Containment System for onshore tanks, and was published as Author or Co-Author of ensuing patents.
In 2014, Adnan also led the new Ethane shipping market with the development of the world’s first VLECs (Very Large Ethane Carrier) that began operation in 2017.
Adnan holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master’s Degree in International Operation Management. He is also graduated with an Executive MBA at French Business School “HEC”. Adnan is also a Principal member of world leading LNG facility standard “NFPA 59a”.

Daniel is responsible for Société Générale’s Natural Resources & Infrastructure practice in Asia Pacific. The team’s activities include conventional and renewable power, oil & gas, LNG, base and precious metals, transportation and social infrastructure. He is based in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in Société Générale’s New York-based Energy Project Finance Group, where he was responsible for originating and executing transactions in the conventional power, renewable energy, LNG and oil & gas sectors in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Daniel has over 18 years of experience in structured finance and has focused on the Energy and Natural Resources sectors for the past 15 years.
Daniel has been involved in several important transactions in the renewable energy sector across the region, including the 126 MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm in Taiwan – the first offshore wind farm to be project-financed in Asia Pacific -, several projects in Indonesia such as the 180 MW Asahan 1 hydro power project, the 39 MW Hasang hydro power project and the 320 MW Sarulla geothermal project, 18 wind and solar power projects in Australia over the past 3 years, several hydro power projects in China, Chile and Peru, a 300 MW wind farm in Mexico and approximately 5000 MW of wind and solar capacity in the United States and Canada.
